How Stake & Paper works
Stake & Paper is an AI-assisted publication. Original coverage is researched and drafted by frontier large-language-model systems (Anthropic's Claude, among others), curated and reviewed by a human editor, and published alongside a real-time wire aggregated from more than ninety industry sources.
That combination — AI drafting, human editorial judgment, continuous aggregation — lets one editor cover the entire energy sector at a volume no small newsroom could match. Topic selection, editorial standards, and the calls on what to publish, how to frame it, and what to kill are all made by a person. The machine handles the draft; the editor handles the voice, the angle, and the accountability.

If you sign in via magic link, we store a session token (expires after 7 days) and your email. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (page views, load times, device type). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
Cookies. We use only essential cookies for authentication sessions. No marketing or targeting cookies are set. Vercel Analytics is cookie-free.
How we use your data. Email addresses are used solely to deliver newsletters and account-related messages. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. Aggregated analytics inform editorial decisions (which topics to cover, what formats work) but are never tied to individual users.
Data retention. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Session data expires automatically. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@stakeandpaper.com.
Third-party services. We use Vercel (hosting and analytics), Microsoft Azure (transactional email), CoinGecko (cryptocurrency data), and Polygon (market data). Each operates under its own privacy policy. We do not transmit your personal data to these services except as required for email delivery.
Children. Stake & Paper is not directed at individuals under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
